Wildberries warehouse in Tambov attacked by drones

On the night of August 26, Ukrainian drones attacked the Tambov region of Russia. As a result of the attack, a large logistics center of the Wildberries marketplace in the city of Kotovsk caught fire. The fire covered an area of 40,000 square meters, and one warehouse worker was injured. That night, a fire was also observed near an oil refinery in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region.

The Wildberries warehouse in the Tambov region was attacked by a drone. According to the governor of the region, Yevgeny Pervyshov, a drone landed at the Wildberries logistics center. A total of 16 drones were destroyed by the air defense system and the BARS-Tambov mobile fire groups.

However, one of the drones hit the logistics center, causing a large fire. The head of the region noted that "as a result of strikes by Ukrainian drones, a fire broke out at the Wildberries logistics center. The area of the fire was 40 thousand square meters."

One warehouse employee was injured as a result of the attack. A fire also broke out in one of the private houses in the region as a result of the drone crash.

Videos of a large fire at the logistics center in Kotovsk have been circulating on social networks. The footage shows a large amount of smoke rising from the facility and the fire covering a large area. According to open sources, Wildberries' logistics complex in Kotovsk covers a total area of 108,000 square meters.

This facility has previously been attacked by drones. In particular, on the night of July 18, a large fire broke out as a result of a drone strike on the warehouse complex. Seven people were reported killed and 25 others injured in that incident.

Meanwhile, residents of the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Region, reported on social networks that a large fire had been observed in the area where the local oil refinery is located. We are talking about the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery. In the distributed footage, you can see a large fire and smoke rising into the sky near the area where the enterprise is located.

On the night of August 26, an air raid warning regime was in effect in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. However, local authorities initially did not provide details about the possible consequences of the drone attack. The plant in Kstovo has been attacked several times since Ukrainian drone strikes on oil refining facilities in Russia intensified.
