Where is Uzbekistan building the most housing? Statistics

From January to June 2026, 7.7 million square meters of individual housing were commissioned in Uzbekistan. This figure is 7.2% higher than the volume recorded for the same period last year. The largest number of houses was built in two regions of the country.
According to the National Statistics Committee, the leaders in terms of housing commissioned were Tashkent Region with 984,100 square meters and Bukhara Region with 978,500 square meters.
Khorezm Region commissioned 797,000 square meters, Surkhandarya Region – 699,900, Namangan Region – 697,100, and Fergana Region – 691,200 square meters.
In the Kashkadarya region, 510,400 square meters of housing were built over the first six months, 493,300 in Tashkent, and 463,700 square meters in Karakalpakstan.
In the Jizzakh region, this figure was 396,700 square meters, in the Andijan region 373,800, and in the Navoi region 353,700 square meters.
The lowest volumes of new housing among the regions were recorded in the Samarkand region (200,300 square meters) and the Syrdarya region (63,200 square meters).
