In which regions are new businesses opening the most?
According to the National Statistics Committee, in the first six months of this year, the number of newly established business entities in the country has increased significantly compared to the same period last year.
In particular, in January-June, a total of 44,226 new business entities were established in Uzbekistan. This is 3,810 or 9.4% more than in the same period in 2025.
The highest indicator among the regions was recorded in Tashkent - 9,626 new business entities were established in the capital over the six months.
The next places were occupied by Tashkent region - 4,593, Khorezm region - 3,963, and Samarkand region - 3,581.
Also, 3,208 new business entities were established in Fergana region, 2,783 in Kashkadarya region, 2,458 in Jizzakh region, 2,442 in Surkhandarya region and 2,413 in Andijan region.
In Bukhara region, this figure was 2,305, in Namangan region - 2,276, and in the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 1,964.
Relatively few new business entities were registered in Navoi and Syrdarya regions. In particular, 1,462 new business entities were established in Navoi region, and 1,152 in Syrdarya region.
Thus, according to the results of the first half of 2026, Tashkent city, Tashkent, Khorezm and Samarkand regions recorded high indicators in terms of the establishment of new businesses.
