What will the weather be like in Uzbekistan on October 5−11? Gazeta review

At the beginning of the week, significantly cool weather will be observed in all regions of Uzbekistan. The cold anticyclone that entered the region after the moisture will drop the air temperature in the northern and mountainous regions to almost zero degrees. During the day, warm weather of around +12…+20 degrees is expected in regions other than the southern provinces.

Starting from Wednesday and Thursday, following the retreat of the anticyclone, a significant rise in temperatures even at night is forecast in places. Excluding the beginning of the week, the weekdays are expected to be mostly dry.

According to foreign weather bureaus, between October 5 and 9, due to the influence of the cold air mass at the beginning of the week, the average temperature in a very large part of Uzbekistan will be 1−2 degrees below the long-term climatic norm, i.e., cold.

According to Uzhydromet's forecast for the weekdays, precipitation is expected on Monday morning in the Samarkand, Jizzakh, Sirdaryo, and Tashkent regions, and during the day in the mountains and the Fergana Valley. Heavy precipitation is possible in some parts of the mountains and the valley, and snow may fall in the high mountains.

It has been reported that during the workdays of the week, the weather across the republic will be mostly dry, without precipitation. Below is the general precipitation forecast map from October 4 to October 11, showing approximately how much precipitation may fall in different areas.

At the beginning of the week, temperatures are expected to be 0…+5 degrees in mountainous and northern regions during the night and morning hours, +3…+8 degrees in the Bukhara and Navoiy regions, and from +5 degrees to +12 degrees in other regions. Starting from October 7, night and morning air temperatures in the regions will rise significantly compared to the beginning of the week. In other regions, cool temperatures of +7…+12 degrees are forecast.

During the daytime at the beginning of the week, it has become clear that temperatures will be +12…+17 degrees in the mountains, Khorezm region, and Karakalpakstan, and +15…+20 degrees in other places except the southern regions. From Wednesday, while the air temperature in the south rises up to +28 degrees during the day, it may be as warm as +23…+25 degrees in other regions. Until the end of the week, temperatures in the regions have a tendency to rise gradually by small values.

During the day on October 6, the first fog events of the season may be observed in many areas.

According to other information from Uzhydromet and forecasts from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), this week, in most of the republic except Karakalpakstan and Surxondaryo regions, the average air temperature will be 1−3 degrees below the norm typical for this period, and very cold in the Kyzylkum desert, while precipitation in the valley and Surxondaryo regions may exceed the long-term average precipitation for this week.

Thus, the first fog events at the beginning of this week may affect transport networks and air travel. Also, at the beginning of the week, the first frosts of the season are expected to be recorded in the north and some foothills.

On cloudy and low-light days at the beginning of the week, some people may experience a drop in mood, increased sleepiness, and lethargy. Walking in daylight, physical activity, and a normal sleep schedule will help alleviate such conditions.

Recommendations.

It is beneficial to consume eggs, nuts, meat, and salmon, engage in physical activity, and spend time outdoors during sunny periods. Vitamins should be taken upon a doctor's advice.

From Monday, the northern and central regions, and from Tuesday, the valley regions will be under the influence of a cold anticyclone rising up to 1030 hPa. This cold air and high pressure may affect people with blood pressure issues. An increase in atmospheric pressure negatively affects the body's defense functions by reducing the number of leukocytes in the blood. The prolonged suspension of fine particles in the air also affects health.

A light shower, gymnastics, consumption of potassium-rich fruits, reducing workload, and getting more rest are recommended.

Bioclimatic conditions.

At the beginning of this week, during the night and morning, the population of Khorezm, Karakalpakstan, and mountainous areas will experience an environment typical of early winter. Generally, a drop in air temperature below +5 degrees is considered a weather environment sufficient for wearing thick clothes and even hats. Monday and Tuesday mornings will bring such low temperatures to the above-mentioned regions. In addition, during the night and morning hours at the beginning of the week, the chilly wind under the influence of the anticyclone will make the real temperature feel lower to the human body and physiology. Therefore, at the beginning of the week, everyone except the population in most of the Surxondaryo region is advised to wear warmer clothes.

Cosmic influences.

According to current solar activity forecasts, red-level magnetic storm disturbances are expected at the beginning of this week. On Wednesday-Friday of the work week, green safe-level magnetic storm disturbances may occur. There are still no clear conclusions in science regarding the impact of magnetic storms on human health. Therefore, it is incorrect to say that such cosmic influence definitely affects people's health.

The Uzhydromet agency does not expect very strong winds during the week. At the beginning of the week, the weakening of the wind and stabilization of the atmosphere under the influence of the anticyclone may create conditions for a temporary deterioration of air quality in some areas, especially in Tashkent and the valley. For now, no strong meteorological factors are visible for a sharp increase in dust particles in the air.

If air pollution increases or pollution related to fine particles occurs, it would not hurt to familiarize oneself with the recommendations prepared by the Sanitary-Epidemiological Committee for different age groups of the population and patients on how to act.

Thus, between October 5 and 11, sharply changing weather conditions will be observed in Uzbekistan throughout the week. The significant cold weather at the beginning of the week will be replaced by warm weather typical of mid-autumn by the weekend.
