What will the weather be like in Uzbekistan on October 12–18? Gazeta overview

At the beginning of the week, rain is expected in all regions except Karakalpakstan and Khorezm, and precipitation in the mountains may intensify. Starting Wednesday, dry weather will prevail across the republic. Although daytime temperatures will rise, nights will remain cool. Weakening winds in certain areas may affect air quality.

What will the weather be like in Uzbekistan on October 12−18? Gazeta review

An anticyclone with atmospheric pressure rising up to 1030 hPa in its center will determine the weather in Uzbekistan during the weekdays. Rain is possible in most regions on Monday, and in the valley provinces, mountainous areas, and some parts of Toshkent Province on Tuesday.

After that, the rest of the week is expected to be dry, with temperatures gradually rising towards the weekend. Daytime temperatures are predicted to be +20…+25 degrees, +25…+30 degrees in the south and north, nighttime temperatures mostly around +8…+10 degrees, and down to zero degrees freezing in the mountains.

According to foreign weather bureau data, due to the influence of the cool air stream at the beginning of the week across a very large part of Uzbekistan, the average temperature during this 5-day period from October 12−16 will be around the long-term climatic norm and 1−2 degrees above it, that is, warm.

According to "Uzhydromet" forecasts for the days of the week, precipitation was expected in all provinces on Monday, except for the Republic of Qoraqalpogʻiston and Xorazm Province. On Tuesday, there is a possibility of precipitation in the valley and mountains, and heavy precipitation and snow are expected in the mountains at times.

Thus, dry weather was announced for locations until the end of the week. Below, the general precipitation forecast map expected in the regions during the week, from October 12 to October 19, shows approximately how much precipitation may fall in places.

At the beginning of the week, temperatures in the north, Buxoro, and Navoiy provinces, and on Wednesday and Friday in the valley provinces, are reported to be +8…+13 degrees at night and in the morning, and up to +3…+8 degrees in the mountains. In Toshkent, Sirdaryo, Jizzax, Samarqand, and southern provinces, this indicator will be +10…+15 degrees.

In the daytime at the beginning of the week, it will be +23…+28 degrees in the south and north, and +18…+23 degrees warm in other places due to cloudy and rainy weather. Starting October 14, warm temperatures up to +25…+30 degrees are expected across the republic, except for the mountains. In the mountains, it is predicted to be up to +12 degrees warm at the beginning of the week, and up to +19 degrees on other days. Fog events may be observed in many regions during the daytime on October 12 and 13.

According to other information from "Uzhydromet" and forecasts from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), the average air temperature in most of the republic this week, except for Qoraqalpogʻiston and Xorazm Province, will be 1−3 degrees above the norm typical for this period, that is, significantly warm. It was reported that temperatures will be normal in the center of the valley due to fog, very hot in the north, and precipitation may fall around the multi-year average for this week, except for a large part of the oasis.

So, the current week is expected to be much warmer than last week, and dry in many regions, excluding some provinces at the beginning of the week.

On cloudy and low-light days at the beginning of the week, some people may experience a drop in mood, increased sleepiness, and lethargy. Walking in daylight, physical activity, and a regular sleep schedule help alleviate such conditions.

Eating eggs, nuts, meat, and salmon, physical activity, and being outdoors during sunny hours are beneficial. Vitamins should be taken on a doctor's advice.

Starting Monday, the northern and central regions, and from Tuesday, the valley provinces will be under the influence of a cold anticyclone rising up to 1030 hPa. This cold air and high pressure can affect people with blood pressure problems. The increase in atmospheric pressure negatively affects the protective functions of the body by reducing the number of leukocytes in the blood. The long duration of fine particles in the air also affects health.

Light showers, gymnastics, consumption of potassium-rich fruits, reducing workload, and getting more rest are recommended.

At the beginning of the week, due to high air humidity in many provinces, nighttime and daytime temperature indicators are expected to be very close to each other. At such times, people feel almost identical sensations in their bodies for most of the day. This provides a transition range from mostly comfortable conditions to cooler conditions for those dressed lightly.

However, this rule does not work for mountainous and northern regions. Because the anticyclone in the north increases the difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures at the beginning of the week. That is, northerners will feel comfortable climatic conditions during the day throughout the week, and cool weather at night and in the morning. Starting Wednesday, residents of other regions of the republic will also witness warmer weather during the day and significantly cooler weather at night.

According to available forecasts regarding solar activity, red-level magnetic storm fluctuations are estimated at the beginning of the current week. Towards the end of the work week, magnetic storm fluctuations are expected to return to a safe green level. Science still has no clear conclusions regarding the impact of magnetic storms on human health. Therefore, it is a mistake to say that such cosmic influence definitely affects human health.

The Uzhydromet agency did not draw attention to very strong winds during the week. At the beginning of the week, the weakening of the wind and the stabilization of the atmosphere under the influence of the anticyclone may create conditions for temporary deterioration of air quality in some areas, especially in Toshkent and the valley. For now, strong meteorological factors are not visible for a sharp increase in dust particles in the air.

In cases where the amount of dust and fine dispersed particles in the air increases, it is important for different age groups of the population and people with chronic diseases to follow the recommendations of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Committee.

Thus, stable weather will be observed in Uzbekistan on October 12−18, excluding the beginning of the week. The intensification of inversion phenomena in the atmosphere in large residential areas may lead to an increase in fine dust particles in the air.
