What court staff uniforms might look like. Samples were presented to the President.

Standard uniforms have been developed for court staff in Uzbekistan. The Supreme Court hopes the uniform will make employees more recognizable to the public and enhance their professional responsibility. The uniform is scheduled to be approved in 2027.

Samples of the new uniform for court staff in Uzbekistan presented

On August 14, the Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan, Robakhon Makhmudova, presented President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with samples of the uniform developed for court staff.

According to the Uzbekistan 24 television channel, the introduction of the uniform is aimed at increasing the recognition of court staff among the public and strengthening their professional responsibility.

The samples presented show that the basic uniform is dark blue. Men's uniforms include a jacket with gold buttons, a light-colored shirt, a blue tie, and trousers. The jacket features shoulder straps with gold insignia, and the judicial system emblem is placed on the left sleeve. Women are required to wear a dark blue jacket, a light-colored shirt, and a skirt.

The presentation slides also showed a summer version of the uniform: a light-colored shirt with short sleeves. Men are advised to wear it with trousers, while women are advised to wear it with a skirt.

The uniform concept is based on four principles: professional responsibility, seasonal comfort, a uniform standard, and a uniform appearance.

It is planned that uniform designs for court staff and the rules for wearing them will be approved by June 2027. This measure is stipulated in paragraph 51 of the "Justice 2030" Judicial System Development Strategy. The Supreme Court has been appointed as the responsible executor.

As a reminder, in 2019, judicial robes were approved in Uzbekistan. Dark cherry red was chosen for Constitutional Court judges, while navy blue was chosen for all other judges. The uniform consists of a robe and bib, made of 70% wool fabric, and a silk tie. The materials and composition of the uniform may vary depending on the season.
