We, the governors, can also write books about the past and present — Governor of Fergana region

According to the governor of Fergana region, Khairullo Bozorov, even khokims can write a book about the changes that have occurred in Uzbekistan over the past ten years. In his address to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the ceremony of presenting state awards on the eve of Independence Day, he noted that the regional leaders have directly witnessed the changes during this period and have made their own contribution to them.

The khokim recently recalled the President’s thoughts on the need to write a book about the past and present state of the country at a meeting with entrepreneurs. “You said at a meeting with our entrepreneurs that now we need to write a book, you said the past history and the present. In fact, I think that if we khokims also write a book, we can also contribute to that part,” said Khairullo Bozorov. In his opinion, for this it is enough to compare life in the past ten years with the previous period.

Bozorov recalled that when he was the district khokim, he faced problems with electricity and water supply in agriculture. “As the district khokim, we used to wait for the lights to come on and the pump to turn on, and when the pump turned on, we would water the grain. It was April, and on April 25, our first grain drank water,” he said. According to the khokim, there were times when, in order to fulfill the grain plan, we had to divide tasks among organizations and even “collect grain by buckets.” “Then, every year, we had a plan, and there were times when we divided it up among organizations, and if necessary, we would divide it up among organizations, and then we would collect grain by buckets,” Bozorov said.

He also spoke about changes in the field of preschool education in the Fergana region. According to the governor, the coverage of children with preschool education in the region has now reached 87 percent. Bazorov noted that previously maintaining some kindergartens was a big problem. “First of all, kindergarten workers do not receive a salary, they have to earn cash to get their salary in plastic. On top of that, they used to give their salary to children who did not have it, saying that we should preserve it, so we should not lose our kindergarten,” he said. He said that such situations may seem unbelievable to new governors today. “If we tell those words to one person today, even our new governors would not believe them,” said the head of the region.

Khairullo Bazorov thanked the President for the trust he had given him and promised to turn Fergana into a poverty-free region. “I promise to fulfill the tasks you have set at the highest level and turn Fergana into a poverty-free region,” he said. The governor also stressed his readiness to “unconditionally” fulfill the instructions and tasks given by the President. “We promise to work honestly and faithfully in the country you trust,” concluded Khairullo Bozorov.

We recall that on August 18, during a meeting with entrepreneurs, Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed Jahongir Artikhojayev to prepare a book about entrepreneurs and to write a separate article about previous “mask shows.” “Of course I will write. There is no way not to write this history. You saved as many entrepreneurs as you could. I will be honest: there were those who fled, and there were those who “died,” ”the businessman replied.

Earlier, the governor of Namangan region, Shavkat Abdurazzokov, told the President that people had forgotten the phrase “the electricity was cut off in Namangan.” The governor of Navoi region, Normat Tursunov, announced that the region was “importing” labor from other regions of Uzbekistan. The governors of Bukhara and Khorezm regions noted that they intend to completely eliminate poverty and unemployment in their regions by the end of 2026.
