Shavkat Mirziyoyev: The past 35 years have been a century-old period

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is participating in the ceremony of presenting state awards on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence at the Koksaroy residence.

The head of state congratulated those gathered on Independence Day and touched upon the changes that have occurred in the past.

"35 years is a very short period for history. However, it is no exaggeration to say that the years that have passed have been a century-old period in terms of their scope, achievements and results," the President said.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the real authors of the changes that have been made are the people.

The President noted the contribution of farmers and peasants, teachers and trainers, doctors, scientists, industrialists, entrepreneurs, builders and architects to the development of the country.
