Water resources control inspectors will use body cameras during inspections

According to the new procedure, the body camera records the actions of the employee in audio and video format while they are performing their official duties. The device must remain turned on from the beginning to the end of the working hours. The employee is prohibited from turning off the body camera, deleting recordings, or editing audio-video materials.

The recorded materials are registered and stored through the suvnazorat.uz electronic information system. They are stored for six months, and upon expiration of this period, they are automatically deleted. Upon request from courts and law enforcement agencies, the relevant recordings may be provided by the Inspectorate.

The decision also notes that the Inspectorate has been authorized to purchase, import, store, and use 20 unmanned aerial vehicles.

From September 2026, inspectors operating in the Tashkent city and regional departments of the Transport Control Inspectorate began conducting control and raid activities using body cameras.

It is planned to gradually introduce this practice to other regional departments of the inspectorate as well. In particular, it is envisaged to fully equip the inspectorate's inspectors with body cameras in the first half of 2027.
