Voting for the "Initiative Budget" resumed in Fergana

The voting process for the "Initiative Budget" has been resumed in Fergana city. The press service of the Ministry of Economy and Finance reported this on August 25.

Within the framework of the 2nd season of the "Initiative Budget" process in 2026, the voting stage was temporarily suspended due to the unjustified rejection of projects by the working commissions in Fergana city. Despite the request from the authorized body to reconsider the projects based on the criteria established by the current legislation, the working commission of Fergana city did not provide for the reconsideration of the projects.

Therefore, the voting stage for projects in Fergana city was temporarily limited until the working commission reconsidered the projects in accordance with the current criteria.

At the request of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the working commission in Fergana city, Fergana region, reconsidered the projects based on the established criteria. Accordingly, the voting stage for projects in this region has been fully restored.

The voting stage for projects selected under the "Initiative Budget" began on August 21 at 23:59. This process will continue until August 31 at 23:59. Due to the increase in unofficial Telegram bots promising monetary rewards in exchange for voting, the Ministry of Economy and Finance issued a warning, urging people to vote for changes, not rewards, and warned against falling into the trap of fraudsters.
