Uzbekistan's IT services export to the US exceeded 320 million dollars
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Enterprise Uzbekistan, IT Park Uzbekistan, as well as international companies Meta, Google, and Mastercard.
According to Enterprise Uzbekistan, over 550 resident companies of IT Park Uzbekistan operate in the US market. More than 16 thousand specialists serve clients from the US, and IT services exports to this country reached 320 million dollars. Uzbekistan's total tech export volume stands at 1.1 billion dollars, with 45% accounting for North America.
John Kilmartin, a representative of the Irish consulting firm Savaday, which is developing the strategy and implementation plan for the new jurisdiction, spoke about the goals of the Enterprise Uzbekistan project.
"Enterprise Uzbekistan is the next stage in the development of the country's tech ecosystem. The project aims to create a common law jurisdiction familiar to international companies. It provides for an English-language environment, a regulatory sandbox for artificial intelligence, and export support. Our goal is to create a launchpad for international companies so they can open businesses in Uzbekistan and export goods and services to the region and other markets," John Kilmartin noted.
According to him, the forum provides an opportunity to present the initiative to potential investors, receive feedback from businesses, and establish contacts with future residents of Enterprise Uzbekistan.
The project provides for the application of English common law and the creation of an independent international court. The relevant legislation is expected to enter into force in early 2027, and the declared conditions will be guaranteed until 2100.
