Travels of Uzbek citizens to Turkey increased by nearly 17 percent

According to the National Statistics Committee, in January–August 2026, 212,265 citizens of Uzbekistan traveled to Turkey for tourism purposes. This figure is 30.5 thousand higher compared to the same period in 2025, with a growth rate of 16.8 percent.

The majority of Uzbekistan citizens heading to Turkey indicated tourism as the purpose of their trip. In this category, 176,137 people visited.

The number of Uzbekistan citizens who went to Turkey to visit relatives was 31,158.

For medical treatment purposes, 2,446 citizens traveled. The number of those who went to Turkey for business was 1,233.

The number of Uzbekistan citizens who visited Turkey for study purposes was 1,291.
