The number of trips of Uzbeks to Turkey has increased

The number of trips by Uzbek citizens to Turkey has increased significantly. According to the National Statistics Committee, in the period from January to July 2026, 166,893 Uzbeks traveled to Turkey for tourism purposes. This figure is 25.1 thousand people or 17.7 percent more than in the same period last year.

According to statistics, the main reasons for Uzbeks' trips to Turkey are distributed as follows:

* Travel and recreation: 138,320 people

* Visiting relatives: 24,555 people

* Treatment: 2,016 people

* Business trips (business/work): 1,097 people

* Study and education: 905 people

In the first seven months of 2026, a total of more than 4.4 million Uzbek citizens traveled to foreign countries for tourism purposes. Most of these trips are to neighboring countries - Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

Also, in the first half of this year, the number of people who moved to Uzbekistan for permanent residence from foreign countries amounted to 1,649 people. This figure represents an increase of 976 people, or 2.5 times, compared to the same period in 2025.
