The number of trips by Uzbek citizens to Turkey increased by 17.7%.

In January–July 2026, 166,893 citizens of Uzbekistan visited Turkey, according to a report from the National Statistics Committee.

The number of trips by Uzbek citizens to Turkey increased by 17.7%.

This represents an increase of 25,100 people compared to the same period last year.

The majority of these trips (138,320) were for tourism purposes. Additionally, 24,555 people visited relatives, 2,016 people underwent medical treatment, 1,097 people traveled for business, and 905 people traveled for study.

It was previously reported that Turkey is investigating suspicious money transfers involving Uzbek citizens. In Aydin Province, approximately ten Uzbek nationals are being investigated for suspected financial transactions involving bank cards. Some are in custody, others are in deportation centers, and the rest have been released on the condition of not leaving Turkey.
