Uzbekistan discusses draft law to simplify financial fines application procedure.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A draft law in Uzbekistan that establishes the procedure for applying financial fines, appealing against them, and returning illegally collected funds has been considered in its first reading.

The document aims to create a unified, clear, and transparent system for applying financial fines, as well as introduce mechanisms for voluntary and simplified enforcement of financial sanctions.

The draft law provides for reliable protection of the rights and legitimate interests of business entities. It provides for the possibility of appealing decisions on the application of financial fines to a higher body or court, and also ensures the timely and full return of illegally collected funds.

The draft also provides for increasing the efficiency of judicial control and further simplifying the procedure for applying financial responsibility. This will serve to protect entrepreneurs from unreasonable or excessive financial penalties.

The document provides for exemption from a financial fine or its payment in installments over a period of six months. In addition, it is envisaged to return the amount of a fine that has been canceled or declared invalid by the court within a short period of time, and in case of delay, to introduce a procedure for paying interest.

It was noted at the meeting that the adoption of the draft law will ensure the voluntary elimination of violations, encourage the timely payment of imposed financial obligations, and simplify relations between state bodies and business entities.

After discussions, the draft law was adopted by the deputies in the first reading.
