An Uzbek delegation led by the Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov, met with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, as part of a practical visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized that the bilateral military cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan is based on friendly and brotherly relations. The importance of cooperation in the development and strengthening of the armies of both countries was also noted.
The parties exchanged detailed views on cooperation in military and military education fields, as well as other issues in the defense sector.
At the end of the meeting, a bilateral military cooperation plan for 2027 was signed between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
