Uzbekistan has risen 30 positions in the ranking of the world's most peaceful countries
Uzbekistan took 37th place in the Global Peace Index 2026, improving its result by 30 positions at once over the year. In 2025, the country was in 67th place.
The ranking included 163 countries. Uzbekistan's score was 1.726 points.
According to the results of the study, Uzbekistan also became the leader of Central Asia. Kazakhstan took 44th place, Tajikistan — 47th, Kyrgyzstan — 61st, and Turkmenistan — 66th.
The Global Peace Index evaluates countries based on 23 indicators. They are grouped into three main categories: safety and security, ongoing domestic and international conflict, and the degree of militarization.
Thus, the ranking takes into account not only internal security. It also reflects the overall situation regarding peace and stability in the country.
