Uzbekistan proposed to create common production chains in Central Asia

Uzbekistan initiated the formation of common production chains in Central Asia
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed that the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan transition from conventional mutual trade to the manufacture of joint final products.
He stated this at the eighth Consultative Meeting of the heads of state of the region, which is taking place in Turkmenistan.
According to Mirziyoyev, to further increase trade and investment, the countries need to build joint industrial and technological chains, digital services, and investment mechanisms. The president outlined this approach with the formula "six economies — one product." He proposed holding a business forum of Central Asia and Azerbaijan in Khiva in 2027 and creating a platform to support joint investment projects.
In addition, the head of state proposed accelerating the creation of the Infrastructure Development Council, forming a unified digital map of critical mineral reserves, and starting work on a common computing infrastructure based on a network of national data centers. Another initiative was the Regional Atlas of In-Demand Professions and Competencies.
It is also reported that Mirziyoyev traveled to Turkmenistan to participate in the Consultative Meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and Azerbaijan and the CIS summit.
