Uzbekistan national team midfielder Otabek Shukurov has transferred to the Serbian club Radnik Surdulica

Uzbekistan national team midfielder Otabek Shukurov has become a player of the Serbian club Radnik Surdulica

Uzbekistan national team midfielder Otabek Shukurov will continue his career at the Serbian club Radnik Surdulica. This was announced on October 2 by the sports organization's press service.

The 28-year-old football player, who had been a free agent for some time, signed an official agreement with the Serbian SuperLiga representative. Local media are calling this move one of the loudest and most significant transfers in the club's history. The player has already completed all the necessary preparations to join his new team.

The midfielder's debut is expected to take place after the international break during the upcoming rounds of the championship, presumably in an away match against the club IMT from Loznica. Currently, Radnik Surdulica sits in 6th place in the Serbian championship table, having gathered 14 points after 10 rounds, while the team has not suffered a single defeat at their home stadium this season.

Shukurov's transfer is expected to strengthen the Serbian team's midfield and expand its options in organizing attacks. Despite interest from a number of other foreign clubs, the Uzbek football player chose the Serbian championship, which will allow him to get regular playing time and maintain his form for performances with the national team.
