Uzbekistan May Expand Business Ties in the MICE Segment at the Meet Global MICE Congress 2026 in Moscow

Moscow is preparing to repeat last year's success of the Meet Global MICE Congress, which brought together over 2,500 specialists from 37 countries in 2025. On December 16–17, 2026, at the WTC Congress Center venue, MGMC will unite key players of the international MICE industry for high-level dialogue for the fourth time: business event organizers, MICE service providers, corporate buyers, representatives of state tourism bodies, industry associations, and leading experts from BRICS and the Global South.

For delegates from Uzbekistan, MGMC 2026 serves as an effective channel for finding new partners in emerging international markets, establishing business contacts, strengthening business, and showcasing their own MICE potential. In 2025, Uzbek companies Sanat Travel Experts DMC, Inter MICE Asia, and Silk Road Samarkand were among the more than 130 exhibitors representing leading MICE destinations. The exposition demonstrated the potential of the country's modern MICE infrastructure, its logistical accessibility, and high level of service. This year, the congress venue will once again feature a large-scale expo zone with facilities to present the capabilities of Uzbek MICE operators, hotel brands, specialized associations, transport companies, and the entire professional and interested audience.

The Hosted Buyers program deserves special attention in the congress schedule. This year, more than 200 professional buyers from CIS countries, China, India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa will take part in it. Participation in Hosted Buyers will allow attendees from Uzbekistan to establish contacts with leading MICE suppliers and evaluate Moscow's potential as one of the world's leading MICE destinations. Given that about 70% of congress participants are top executives and decision-makers, this negotiation format holds high potential for concluding contracts and closing deals quickly. In total, over 8,000 B2B meetings took place at the MGMC venue last year.

MGMC 2026 will offer a practice-oriented business program with a key focus on real business cases and interactive formats. The focus will be on practical toolkits for MICE industry participants: from strategy building to applied solutions that turn an idea into a tangible financial result. Delegates will discuss entering new markets, attracting investments, business support measures, and digital transformation, including the implementation of artificial intelligence. Dedicated sessions will be focused on building strong destination brands based on the cultural code of regions, as well as the specifics of working in BRICS and Global South markets. The economic segment will address margin management, cash flow gap prevention, and the search for non-standard revenue streams. A special emphasis will be placed on the evolution of the business model: shifting from selling "man-hours" to delivering measurable value to the client. Market leaders who managed to maintain high growth rates and successfully scale their businesses will share their case studies.

Every year, MGMC raises the standard of its professional platform for discussing trends and building partnerships, setting a new benchmark for specialized international MICE industry events.

"For specialists from Uzbekistan, MGMC is an opportunity to expand the geography of business ties, present their competencies, see how the global MICE industry is developing, and discover Moscow as a modern MICE destination. For us, the participation of our colleagues from Uzbekistan is an opportunity not only to share Moscow's experience, but also to adopt best practices, jointly search for new points of interaction, and develop professional dialogue," said Anastasia Popova, First Deputy General Director for Business Tourism Development at the ANO "Project Office for the Development of Tourism and Hospitality of Moscow" (Mostourism).
