Uzbekistan has proposed that Korean businesses expand projects in pharmaceuticals

Uzbekistan has invited South Korean companies to implement new projects in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. These areas are included among the priorities for further economic cooperation between the two countries.
This initiative was proposed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Uzbek-Korean business forum in Seoul. Companies have been invited to participate not only in establishing new production facilities but also in developing modern technological solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. The parties also intend to expand cooperation in the field of biotechnology.
Another area of focus will be joint research and the implementation of advanced developments. In parallel, it is planned to pay attention to training the specialists required to work at the new high-tech production facilities.
Uzbekistan declared its readiness to provide practical assistance to Korean businesses when launching projects. Pharmaceuticals are viewed as one of the areas where Korean technologies and experience can be combined with the republic's production potential.
It is also reported that Uzbekistan and South Korea have signed a package of bilateral agreements. Among them is a document on cooperation in the field of medical product regulation.
