As of 1 January 2026, Uzbekistan recorded an average of 124 refrigerators and freezers per 100 households, according to household sample survey data from the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This number has risen sharply over the past decades. Relative to 2000, the number of refrigerators and freezers per 100 households increased by 44.2%.

In 2000, the average stood at 86 refrigerators and freezers per 100 households. It climbed to 91 in 2005 and then to 99 in 2010.

By 2015, the number of these household appliances had surpassed 100 units, reaching 101 refrigerators or freezers per 100 households.

The figure then increased to 107 units in 2020. Growth continued in the following years, with the total reaching 114 units in 2021, 115 in 2022 and 118 in 2023.

In 2024, there were already 121 refrigerators or freezers per 100 households. By the end of 2025, the figure had risen to 124 units.

Overall, the data indicate a steady rise in household access to refrigerators and freezers, from 86 units per 100 households in 2000 to 124 units at the start of 2026.
