Uzbekistan expects a temperature contrast: up to +42°, then a cold snap

Uzbekistan is preparing for a significant temperature drop: the mercury will rise to 42°C, followed by a cooler period.

Hot, mostly dry weather is expected in Uzbekistan in the coming days. Temperatures are forecast to reach 42°C in some regions, but a significant drop is expected by mid-August.

In the Bukhara and Navoi regions, temperatures will reach 37°C to 42°C from August 9th to 13th, and drop to 33°C to 38°C from August 14th to 16th.

In the Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, temperatures are forecast to reach 37°C to 42°C from August 9th to 14th. In Kashkadarya, temperatures will drop slightly on August 14th, reaching 36°C to 41°C.

In Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region, temperatures are expected to reach 35°C to 40°C on August 9–10, and 37°C to 42°C on August 11–12. A significant drop in temperature is forecast for August 13, reaching 31°C to 36°C.

In the Tashkent, Jizzakh, Samarkand, and Syrdarya regions, daytime temperatures will range from 33°C to 42°C.

In the Fergana Valley, temperatures will reach 35°C to 40°C on August 10–14, and 33°C to 38°C on August 9 and 15–16.

Easterly winds of 7–12 m/s will blow in most regions. In Karakalpakstan, the Khorezm, Bukhara, and Navoi regions, winds are expected to increase to 13–18 m/s in some places on August 9–10.

In some areas, dusty drifting snow is possible, which could lead to poor visibility and air quality.

In the foothills and mountainous regions, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in some areas from August 9–11. No precipitation is forecast after August 12.

Temperatures will be significantly lower here: 13–18°C at night, and 27–32°C during the day from August 9–14. A real cold snap is expected by August 15–16, with daytime lows reaching 20–25°C.

Thus, the first half of the period will be marked by intense heat, with a noticeable drop in temperatures expected in many regions from August 13–16.
