Uzbekistan discussed fiber optic production with Guangdong RIPO Industry
"Uzeltechsanoat" and China's Guangdong RIPO Industry discussed the establishment of optical fiber production and a service center in Akhangaran.
Uzbekistan held negotiations with the Chinese company Guangdong RIPO Industry Co., Ltd. on the prospects of launching optical fiber production and localizing equipment for the cable industry.
The meeting with the head of the company and local partners was held by the Chairman of the Board of the "Uzeltechsanoat" Association, M. Yunusov.
One of the possible areas of cooperation could be the establishment of a service center for maintaining equipment used in the manufacture of cable products on the territory of the Eltech Industrial technopark in Akhangaran.
In addition, the parties discussed options for the localization of equipment and related services, as well as the organization of optical fiber production in Uzbekistan.
Guangdong RIPO Industry Co., Ltd. supplies technological plants and complete production lines for the manufacture of copper and aluminum wires, as well as telecommunication and electrical cables. According to the company, it has over 20 years of experience in this field.
At the same time, specific agreements, investment volumes, and timelines for the potential implementation of the projects were not disclosed in the report.
