Uzbekistan Business Council begins work in Dubai

The Business Council of Uzbekistan has begun its activities in Dubai. This was reported by the Dunyo news agency.

On August 26, the first general meeting of the Business Council of Uzbekistan was held with the support of the Dubai Chambers. This project was implemented at the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the representative office of the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, and the Uzbek business community. At the meeting, Ulugbekkhon Maksumov, founder of Aksum Group, was elected chairman of the council.

The main goal of the organization is to establish a permanent dialogue between business representatives of the two countries, expand the participation of Uzbek companies in the UAE market, and attract investors from the emirate to promising projects.

According to the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade:

* Currently, more than 450 companies with UAE capital are operating in Uzbekistan.

* Over the past three years, the volume of emirate investments has amounted to $ 3 billion.

* In 2025, the volume of mutual trade has reached $ 1.2 billion.

Also, according to Dubai Chambers, at the end of last year, 826 active Uzbek companies were registered in the chamber, which is 21.3% more than a year earlier. In the first half of this year, another 75 companies joined the chamber.

Earlier, it was reported that Singaporean businessmen would expand their investment activities in Uzbekistan. A joint medium-term program for strategic and innovative partnerships was developed, in which it was agreed to modernize trade, investments, technology transfer and the system of state administration.
