The Uzbek Business Council was established in Dubai to develop trade and investment ties between entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and the UAE.

On August 26, the Uzbekistan Business Council in Dubai was established in Dubai. It will serve as a platform for direct interaction between entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and the Emirate, according to the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan.
The initiative to establish the council came from the Representative Office of the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan in the UAE, the Embassy of Uzbekistan, and representatives of the Uzbek business community, with the support of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
The council's activities will focus on developing trade and investment ties, identifying new business partners, and promoting joint initiatives in various sectors.
The first meeting of the new council was held at the headquarters of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. Participants discussed new business opportunities, expanding mutual investment, developing contacts between companies, exchanging experiences and information, and holding joint business events.
The economic foundation for further cooperation has already been established. More than 450 companies with UAE capital operate in Uzbekistan, and the volume of UAE investment has reached approximately $3 billion over the past three years.
Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the UAE reached $1.2 billion in 2025.
At the same time, the presence of Uzbek businesses in Dubai is growing. By the end of 2025, 826 active companies from Uzbekistan were registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, a 21.3% increase compared to the previous year. An additional 75 Uzbek companies joined the chamber in the first half of 2026.
The establishment of the Uzbek Business Council aims to create a permanent mechanism for interaction between entrepreneurs and investors from both sides. The new platform is planned to develop direct business contacts, promote joint projects, and strengthen trade and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE.
