Uzbekistan and Turkey Conference in Ankara: Literary and Educational Cooperation Enriched with New Content
An international conference dedicated to the further development of literary and educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey was held at the Writers' Union of Turkey.
Organized within the framework of the international forum "One Root, One Enlightenment: Uzbekistan — Turkey Bridge of Friendship," the event discussed strengthening educational ties between the two brotherly nations and conveying shared values to the younger generation through literature and creativity. It was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkey, members of the Writers' Union of Turkey, scholars, and intellectuals.
During the dialogue, views were exchanged on the importance of literature, art, enlightenment, and education in developing friendship and cultural ties between the nations. Special attention was also paid to the national spirit in culture, historical memory, and conveying the shared values of the two peoples to future generations.
Within the framework of the event, a presentation of the work "The Uzbekistan I Met" by Dr. Kemal Yavuz Ataman also took place.
One of the important outcomes of the conference was the signing of a memorandum on the joint implementation of the social project "On the Wings of Love" — "Sevgi kanatlarında". The document was signed by the Chairman of the Writers' Union of Turkey, Professor Dr. Muhammet Enes Kala, and the Chairman of the "Ma'rifat" (Enlightenment) Propagandists Society, Bakhtiyor Khusanov. Within the framework of cooperation, Muhammet Enes Kala was admitted as an honorary member of the "Ma'rifat" Propagandists Society.
Under the project, examples of Uzbek and Turkish children's literature are planned to be compiled for the first time into a single bilingual literary and educational collection. It will feature works that serve to raise the younger generation in the spirit of kindness, friendship, humanity, goodness, tolerance, and peace.
This initiative will serve to unite the literature of the two brotherly nations based on two languages and shared values, conveying their cultural heritage to the younger generation.
