Uzbekistan and Turkey expand cooperation in tourism

Uzbekistan and Turkey agree to expand cooperation in the field of tourism.

Chairman of the Tourism Committee Abdulaziz Akkulov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Uzbekistan Ufuk Ulutaş.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation in the field of tourism, increasing the number of mutual tourists, strengthening ties between tour operators and airlines, and implementing investment and promotional projects.
Proposals were also considered to organize training and experience exchange programs for Uzbek hotel specialists in Istanbul and Antalya, as well as to establish educational and scientific-practical cooperation with the University of Cappadocia.
During the conversation, agreements were reached on strengthening ties between tourism organizations, tour operators, airlines, educational institutions and tourism agencies, taking cooperation to a new level through joint forums, B2B meetings and the implementation of investment projects. At the end of the meeting, representatives of the Turkish tourism industry were invited to participate with a national stand at the "Tourism on the Silk Road" international tourism fair, which is planned to be held in Tashkent in November 2026.
