Uzbekistan and Armenia discussed new areas of bilateral cooperation
On September 7, 2026, the next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Armenia took place in Yerevan. The delegations were led by Deputy Foreign Ministers Bobur Usmanov and Mnatsakan Safaryan.
The parties reviewed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Special attention was paid to the progress of implementing the tasks defined during contacts at the highest and high levels.
The participants of the consultations confirmed their mutual interest in expanding the treaty and legal framework of bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation on international platforms.
Particular emphasis was placed on the practical utilization of cooperation potential in industrial partnership, transport and logistics, agriculture, digital technologies, tourism, and education.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue close coordination between the foreign ministries of the two countries. The parties intend to strengthen practical cooperation on a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda.
