Uzbekistan and the US concluded 54 agreements worth $12 billion

As part of the American delegation's visit to Uzbekistan, a package of 54 agreements in the fields of trade, investment, and technological cooperation was signed. Their implementation involves the utilization of 12 billion dollars, according to the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade.

The agreements cover industry, transport and energy infrastructure, critical minerals, the financial sector, digital technologies, agriculture, healthcare, and education.

In the transport sector, cooperation with GE Aerospace provides for the supply of engines for Uzbekistan Airways' new aircraft. Projects with Wabtec are aimed at localizing the production of railway equipment and components.

Agreements with Franklin Templeton, Oppenheimer & Co., Citigroup, and BlackRock concern national companies entering international capital markets, attracting institutional investors, and financing infrastructure projects.

In the mining industry, agreements with ReElement Technologies, Traxys, and Trafigura are related to the exploration and development of deposits, technological cooperation, and the supply of mineral resources, including the development of Uzbekistan's competencies in the field of critical minerals.

Initiatives with Amazon Leo provide for the development of satellite communications, with GE HealthCare — the introduction of modern medical technologies, and with Valmont Industries — increasing agricultural efficiency.

According to the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, representatives of over 400 companies took part in the business program: more than 100 American companies, 100 from other Central Asian countries, and 200 enterprises from Uzbekistan.
