Mirziyoyev held a series of meetings with foreign investors and representatives of energy companies

On October 16, on the sidelines of the first meeting of the Investors Council in the fuel and energy sector, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a series of negotiations with executives of leading companies from Oman, China, Turkey, the USA, the UAE, and Azerbaijan.

At the meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Omani company Voltamp Energy, Sayyid Ayman Al Busaidi, projects for the construction of solar power plants and the production of high-voltage transformers were discussed. As a result, an agreement was reached on the implementation of new initiatives based on a "roadmap".

With the heads of Chinese companies CAMCE, China Energy, and Sinoma Energy, projects in the field of renewable energy, energy storage, waste recycling, and water supply were reviewed. Plans to create a logistics hub in the Andijan region and to develop agrivoltaics were also supported.

During negotiations with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish company Aksa Enerji, Cemil Kazancı, the parties agreed to accelerate work on projects for the modernization of the energy sector.

Special attention was paid to the development of Uzbek-American relations: the President received the Special Envoy of the US President for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor. Preparations for the visit of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a meeting in the C5+1 format, and a session of the Uzbek-American Business Council were discussed.

With representatives of the UAE companies — Masdar and AMEA Power — the dynamic development of the strategic partnership was noted: a 40% growth in trade and the successful implementation of major projects.

An agreement was reached to expand cooperation in "green" energy, infrastructure, tourism, and the services sector.

At a meeting with the head of SOCAR, Rovshan Najaf, and Senior Vice President of British Petroleum, Giovanni Cristofoli, projects for the development of hydrocarbon deposits on the Ustyurt Plateau were discussed. BP's joining of this large-scale project was highly appreciated.
