President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on October 16 with the head of the Azerbaijani company SOCAR Rovshan Najaf and Senior Vice President of British Petroleum Giovanni Cristofoli. Representatives of the companies arrived in the country to participate in the Investors Council in the Fuel and Energy Sector.
During the conversation, the parties touched upon further cooperation in energy and practical steps to develop hydrocarbon deposits on the Ustyurt Plateau. The role of BP, which joined this large-scale project, was separately emphasized.
In addition, prospects for new projects in the oil and gas sector, the organization of long-term supplies, and the expansion of the sales network for oil and petroleum products were reviewed.
