On October 16, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Mehmet Cengiz, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish company Cengiz Holding. The meeting was held as part of the session of the Fuel and Energy Sector Investors Council.
During the conversation, the parties reviewed issues of expanding cooperation in energy, geology, and infrastructure. The head of state emphasized the growth of trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkey, as well as the successful implementation of major investment projects.
Following the negotiations, agreements were reached on prospective projects for the construction of thermal power plants and the modernization of power distribution networks.
