Uzbekistan and the US Pharmacopeia Discuss Pharmaceutical Development

The Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan held an online meeting with representatives of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), during which the parties discussed the development of the scientific and professional potential of the pharmaceutical industry.

One of the main issues of the meeting was strengthening human resource capacity and expanding the exchange of professional experience. The participants considered the possibility of sending Uzbek scientists and specialists to leading laboratories and other USP facilities. It is expected that this format will allow specialists to gain practical experience and improve their qualifications.

Special attention was paid to the potential participation of US Pharmacopeia experts in the work of the laboratory and research infrastructure being established in Uzbekistan. The parties also discussed conducting practical training and experience exchange programs involving USP specialists.

In addition, the meeting participants considered the possibility of applying USP's advanced international approaches in the design and equipment of modern laboratories and research centers being established in Uzbekistan.

The discussions were aimed at the further development of professional competencies, expanding practical cooperation with international specialists, and utilizing USP's experience in forming a modern research infrastructure for the pharmaceutical industry.
