Uzbekistan and Saudi investors intend to accelerate the implementation of joint projects in green energy

As part of the first meeting of the Council of Investors in the Fuel and Energy Sector, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with a delegation led by the Co-Chair of the Uzbekistan-Saudi Business Council, Chairman of the Board of ACWA Power Mohammad Abunayyan.

During the talks, the parties reviewed issues of further expanding practical partnership and accelerating the implementation of priority joint projects. In recent years, the Saudi Arabian business community has shown increased interest in the market of Uzbekistan, leading to the implementation of large-scale investment initiatives in green energy, modern infrastructure, high technology, healthcare, and other sectors in the country.

The participants of the meeting confirmed their readiness to bring bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level through the timely and effective implementation of the agreements reached. Following the meeting, the Saudi investors expressed gratitude to the leadership of the republic for the favorable conditions created for conducting investment activities.
