Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Minister of Investment of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the further development of strategic partnership, the expansion of investment cooperation, and the implementation of joint projects.

The meeting participants noted that in recent years, trade, economic, and investment ties between Uzbekistan and the UAE have been developing steadily. At the same time, it was emphasized that there are opportunities for more active involvement of leading Emirati companies and investment institutions in projects within priority sectors of the Uzbek economy.

Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi expressed interest in further strengthening the strategic partnership. According to him, one of the directions for this could be the implementation of large-scale, long-term investment projects in Uzbekistan.

The parties paid special attention to the prospects of cooperation in agriculture and the food industry, modern urban planning and infrastructure, energy, mining, and high-tech industries, as well as in other areas.

The parties agreed to intensify direct interaction with leading UAE companies and investment structures. Among the priorities is the joint preparation of promising investment projects and the promotion of mutually beneficial initiatives.

In addition, the negotiators exchanged views on further conducting mutual high-level visits and organizing joint events. These are intended to facilitate the expansion of direct contacts between representatives of the business communities of the two countries.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to utilize the potential of the strategic partnership more effectively and to provide investment cooperation with additional practical substance.
