Uzbekistan and Kuwait Explore New Investment Opportunities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On July 14, 2026, Laziz Kudratov, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, met with Turki Khalid Hamad Al-Mikrad, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kuwait to Uzbekistan.

The discussion focused on enhancing trade, economic, and investment collaboration, along with the execution of new joint initiatives.

During the meeting, the officials evaluated strategies to boost bilateral trade, facilitate the entry of Uzbek products into the Kuwaiti market, organize business missions and exhibitions, and strengthen connections between the business sectors of both nations.

Key areas for potential collaboration highlighted in the discussions included banking and finance, agriculture, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, industry, and services. The participants emphasized the importance of working with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development to finance infrastructure and logistics projects.

Furthermore, the parties talked about the upcoming Uzbek-Kuwaiti business forum and the revitalization of the Intergovernmental Commission, with the third meeting of the commission set to occur in Uzbekistan in the autumn of 2026.
