Uzbekistan and Russia are nearing an agreement for a friendly football match to be held next month.

Sources close to the ongoing discussions indicate that the game is tentatively scheduled for September 25 in Nizhny Novgorod, with both sides reportedly close to a final deal. While not yet officially confirmed by organizers, Sovcombank Arena is the anticipated venue for the fixture.

This potential match would mark only the second time the two national teams have competed against each other. Their initial encounter, which took place in November 2022 at Pakhtakor Stadium in Tashkent, concluded in a goalless draw.

As of now, neither football federation has issued an official confirmation, and specific details such as kickoff time and ticket information are still pending finalization.
