Uzbekistan to face South Korea in October friendly

Uzbekistan's national football team will play an away friendly against the Republic of Korea during the upcoming FIFA international window.

The game, slated for October 6, is part of Uzbekistan's preparations for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup. Details regarding the kick-off time and specific venue are still pending.

This fixture is one of several friendly encounters Uzbekistan has scheduled during the FIFA window. Head coach Fabio Cannavaro is continuing to develop the squad after their involvement in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The 2027 AFC Asian Cup will take place in Saudi Arabia, running from January 7 to February 5.

Uzbekistan has been placed in Group B for the tournament, where they will compete against Bahrain, North Korea, and Jordan for advancement to the knockout stage.
