The Uzbekistan Football Association has confirmed that the Uzbekistan national team is scheduled to play a friendly match against Canada in Edmonton on June 1. This encounter is part of Uzbekistan's preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Uzbekistan has been drawn into Group K for the tournament, where they will face Portugal, Colombia, and the eventual winner of the play-off involving DR Congo, Jamaica, or New Caledonia. Canada, meanwhile, is set to compete in Group B, with their opponents being Qatar, Switzerland, and the team that emerges victorious from UEFA Path A, which includes Wales, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, and Northern Ireland.
