Uzbekistan and KOICA discussed new areas of cooperation
On September 3, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Munira Aminova met with the new Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Office in Uzbekistan, Kim Myung-jin. During the conversation, the parties reviewed the current state of Uzbek-Korean cooperation and its future prospects.
The significant participation of KOICA in the implementation of social and infrastructural projects in Uzbekistan was specifically noted.
The meeting participants paid special attention to cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and digitalization. In particular, they discussed the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence technologies in healthcare, agriculture, and education.
Among the topics were also climate change and water resources management.
The parties declared their mutual interest in further expanding the partnership and preparing new joint initiatives.
At the same time, it is planned to take into account the national development priorities of Uzbekistan and the experience of the Republic of Korea.
The meeting participants also emphasized the importance of close coordination and regular exchange of views when determining promising areas and projects for further cooperation.
