Uzbekistan and Korea to expand cooperation in digital medicine

Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea intend to deepen cooperation in digital medicine.

A meeting held in Seoul on August 12 brought together Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan, and Park Sang-hwe, President of the Seoul Public Health Association (SPHA), along with a number of relevant experts, according to the press service of the Uzbek Agency.

During the talks, the parties focused on the implementation of digital solutions in healthcare and the adaptation of advanced Korean practices in medical management to the conditions of Uzbekistan.

Meeting participants discussed current projects in the medical sector, prospects for digitalization, and potential areas for further cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the integration of digital systems into the management of medical institutions. The possibility of applying the "Smart Hospital" concept in the design and equipment of new clinics was also discussed.

A separate topic was the study of modern approaches to clinical management practiced in Korea and their potential adaptation for Uzbekistan.

Following the talks, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed. This document is intended to lay the foundation for the systematic development of cooperation in key areas and the implementation of joint initiatives.

The Agency emphasized that this agreement is intended to serve as the foundation for the practical expansion of the partnership between the two countries in the areas of digital transformation of medicine, modern clinical management, and the implementation of innovative approaches.

The Seoul Public Health Association (SPHA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization specializing in public health issues and medical policymaking. According to the Agency, its membership includes over 100 academic and industry experts.
