An Uzbek delegation led by Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov paid a working visit to Jordan on October 26–27. The purpose of the trip was to expand trade, economic, and investment partnership between the two countries.
During the visit, the delegation held talks with representatives of government agencies and leading Jordanian companies.
The sides reviewed prospects for cooperation in industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, energy, geology, mining, and transport logistics.
Together with the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, an Uzbek-Jordanian round table featuring business community members was organized.
Special attention at the meeting was paid to the development of industrial cooperation, the launch of joint ventures, the attraction of investments, and the increase of mutual trade volumes, with Jordanian partners being presented with the conditions for doing business in Uzbekistan.
Following the trip, the sides identified promising areas and potential joint projects, as well as outlined further steps for their practical implementation.
