Uzbekistan and ITTLLDC discussed the development of landlocked countries.

Uzbekistan and ITTLLDC discussed transport corridors, logistics, digitalization, reducing trade costs, and regional connectivity.

Uzbekistan and the International Research Center for Landlocked Developing Countries (ITTLLDC) held talks on expanding international cooperation and developing transport and logistics potential, according to the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting took place on August 21 at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan. It was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Umid Abidkhadjaev, ITTLLDC Executive Director Damdin-Od Dulguun, as well as representatives of relevant ministry departments and research institutes.

Key topics of discussion included the development of transport and transit corridors, the integration of landlocked countries into global transport networks, reducing trade costs, and strengthening regional connectivity.

Participants also discussed economic diversification, digital transformation, and strengthening institutional capacity as priority areas for ITTLLDC.

Special attention was paid to Uzbekistan's transport, logistics, and transit potential. The parties exchanged views on diversifying foreign trade routes and further strengthening regional connectivity.

Furthermore, the meeting participants discussed opportunities for cooperation between ITTLLDC and the Center for Development Strategy, the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies of Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in transport and logistics, trade and economic development, and analytical research.
