The Chairman of the Food Safety Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Azizbek Urunov, held a meeting with international expert and Director of AMC Overseas FZE, Suvra Chakraborty. During the meeting, the parties discussed measures to strengthen the export potential of the country's agricultural and food products.
During the negotiations, options for expanding the access of local producers and exporters to foreign markets, as well as improving export processes in line with modern requirements, were considered. This was reported by the Food Safety Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The participants of the meeting paid special attention to improving the practical knowledge and skills of local exporters. In particular, they discussed the analysis of international markets, searching for foreign buyers, and conducting effective negotiations with potential partners.
The parties also touched upon practical issues of organizing export deliveries. This included the correct completion of logistical and customs procedures, product certification according to international standards, and the preparation of necessary documentation.
As noted at the meeting, when entering foreign markets, the competitiveness of products is determined not only by quality. Packaging, storage conditions, building a logistics chain, and increasing value added also play a significant role.
The participants exchanged views on how to adapt international experience in these areas to the conditions of Uzbekistan and how to provide practical support to local entrepreneurs.
In 2025–2026, with the participation of Suvra Chakraborty, educational seminars had already been held in the regions of Uzbekistan for representatives of dehkan and farm enterprises, as well as entrepreneurs.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue educational programs aimed at disseminating international practical experience.
The Committee emphasized the importance of the practical experience of international experts for increasing the export potential of local entrepreneurs, strengthening the competitiveness of Uzbek products in foreign markets, and expanding the geography of food exports from Uzbekistan.
