Uzbekistan and India discussed expanding cooperation

Uzbekistan and India discussed the development of political dialogue and the expansion of cooperation in trade, investment, and humanitarian spheres.

On August 25, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bahromjon Aloev met with Indian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Smita Pant. During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing bilateral relations, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting participants exchanged views on intensifying political dialogue between the two countries.

Particular attention was paid to further expanding cooperation in trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian, and other priority areas.

Representatives of Uzbekistan and India also addressed current issues on the international agenda.
