Uzbekistan and India to expand cooperation in the medical field

Uzbekistan and India's Lilavati Hospital discussed the implementation of medical technologies, specialist training, and joint projects.

Uzbekistan and India intend to deepen their partnership in healthcare.

Abdulla Azizov, Head of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, held talks with a delegation from the Indian multidisciplinary medical institution, Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre. The meeting focused on prospects for expanding Uzbek-Indian cooperation in the medical field.

The discussions covered the introduction of advanced medical technologies, professional development, and the implementation of joint initiatives.

Particular attention was paid to the exchange of experience and knowledge, the application of innovative approaches and modern medical technologies, and the development of collaboration in scientific research and education.

The Indian representatives were informed about ongoing reforms in the medical and pharmaceutical industries of Uzbekistan, existing investment opportunities, and the modern medical and scientific infrastructure being developed within the "BioPharma City" pharmaceutical cluster.
