Uzbekistan and Belarus signed contracts worth over $140 million in Khiva

Enterprises and organizations of Uzbekistan and Belarus signed 59 direct contracts worth over $140 million. The corresponding agreements were reached following the fourth Uzbek-Belarusian interparliamentary forum, which took place in Khiva.

As noted by Natalya Kochanova, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, the exhibitions and dialogue platforms organized in Khiva demonstrated the parties' interest in long-term cooperation in mechanical engineering, the food and chemical industries, as well as in the agricultural sector.

During the forum, the parties also discussed the development of interregional ties, the creation of joint ventures, new jobs, and support for entrepreneurial initiatives. Following the meeting, the Khiva Declaration was adopted, the provisions of which are planned to be implemented together with the interparliamentary "road map" for 2026–2027.

It was previously reported that the fourth Uzbek-Belarusian interparliamentary forum had concluded in Khiva. Its participants signed contracts, agreements, and memorandums of cooperation.
