Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Akkulov held a meeting with representatives of the Loong Air airline of the People's Republic of China.
During the negotiations, issues of further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the field of tourism and civil aviation were considered.
Currently, Loong Air airline is actively developing air services between Uzbekistan and China, operating regular flights on the Xi'an - Tashkent, Chengdu - Tashkent and Xi'an - Samarkand routes.
The parties noted that China is one of the most important external tourist markets for Uzbekistan. In recent years, the flow of tourists from China to Uzbekistan has been steadily growing. In particular, in 2025, more than 278.9 thousand Chinese tourists visited our country, while in January-June 2026 this figure reached 223.5 thousand.
During the meeting, issues of further expanding the geography of air flights between Uzbekistan and China were also discussed. In particular, views were exchanged on increasing the number of existing flights of the airline "Loong Air" and jointly studying the possibilities of establishing direct flights between other cities, as well as implementing joint marketing and advertising campaigns to increase the flow of bilateral tourism.
