Uzbekistan and Loong Air discussed expanding flights
The Tourism Committee and Chinese airline Loong Air discussed increasing the number of flights, new routes, and joint promotion of tourist destinations.
Uzbekistan and Loong Air Discuss Expanding Air Service

The head of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Akkulov, held talks with representatives of the Chinese airline Loong Air. During the meeting, the parties discussed developing cooperation in tourism and civil aviation, as well as the possibility of increasing the number of flights between the two countries.
According to the Tourism Committee, Loong Air currently operates regular flights on the routes Xi'an-Tashkent, Chengdu-Tashkent, and Xi'an-Samarkand, providing air service between Uzbekistan and China.
During the talks, it was emphasized that China is one of the most important foreign tourism markets for Uzbekistan. According to the Committee, more than 278,900 Chinese citizens visited Uzbekistan in 2025, and from January to June 2026, the number of Chinese tourists reached 223,500.
The meeting participants also focused on prospects for further expansion of the route network. Specifically, they discussed the possibility of increasing the frequency of Loong Air flights and jointly exploring the opening of new direct air routes linking cities in Uzbekistan and China.
Furthermore, the parties exchanged views on joint marketing and advertising activities aimed at further stimulating mutual tourist flow.
